Dr. Gary Shmurak

What do you look for in a dentist? Experience? Skill? Implementation of the latest technology? Compassion and understanding?

Dr. Gary Shmurak combines all of these characteristics into his dental practice. He is a skilled general dentist with extensive international experience. His uniqueness lies in the full range of dental services he is able to provide for his patients. From restorative and cosmetic dentistry, to root canal therapy and oral surgery, even implant placement and periodontics, Dr. Shmurak is your comprehensive, “one-stop-shop” dental provider.

Dr. Shmurak graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with honors. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association, and American Academy of General Dentistry. He holds Fellowship status in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.

Dr. Shmurak has been awarded the Best of Bucks Dentist of 2009 by The Intelligencer readers and Top Dentist of 2011 & 2012 by Suburban Life. He thanks all of the voters for putting their trust in his practice. THANK YOU!

Dr. Maya Shmurak

After graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Temple University, Dr. Maya decided to follow in her father’s footsteps and pursue dentistry as her lifelong passion and career. She went on to graduate from Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry, a dental school widely renowned for its strength in clinical dentistry and community service.

She continues to build on her knowledge base by attending continuing education courses in aesthetic dentistry, dental 3D imaging, endodontics, and more. Dr. Maya aims to uphold her father’s dedication to providing patients with compassionate, quality dental care, all while utilizing the latest technologies and techniques available today.

Our team at Apex Dental Care is focused on providing quality dentistry for our patients and their families. Tanya – Office Manager

Tanya’s career in the dental field began about 10 years ago as a certified dental assistant after graduating from Delaware Valley Academy in 1997. In pursuit of furthering her knowledge, she earned an associate’s degree in computer science from Bucks County Community College and DPT Business School, an achievement which has honed her skills in office organization and business development. She takes pleasure in making patients feel confident about their care and is always available to answer any questions they may have. Tanya is a devoted mother to two beautiful daughters. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends and travelling.

Rose – Registered Dental Hygienist

Rose has been a dental hygienist for 22 years. She began her career as a dental assistant and has extensive experience in all areas of dentistry. Rose is an active member of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association and has served as the president of the New Jersey South Shore district. Our patients appreciate her professionalism, gentle touch, and attention to their concerns.

Maiya – Dental Assistant

Maiya’s home country is Belorussia, where she started her career in the dental field. Since 2001, when her family moved to the USA, she has been working as a dental assistant in different dental facilities, including the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. In 2003, after the successful completion of the Harcum College EFDA course, Maiya became a licensed Expanded Function Dental Assistant. Her favorite part of the job is helping patients feel at ease during their dental visits.

Nicole – Front Desk/Dental Assistant

Nicole began her career in dentistry at Upper Bucks Vocational Technical School. She loves her job and is planning to grow in the dental field. She takes pleasure in making patients feel welcomed and as comfortable as possible during their visits to the office. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, especially her daughter, Juliana.

Courtney – Front Desk/Dental Assistant

Courtney has been studying comprehensive dental assisting at Upper Bucks Vocational School since 2016. Currently, she is excited to complete her last year as a senior at Pennridge High School. Courtney recently joined Apex Dental Care and is enjoying her job speaking with patients and learning about dentistry. She looks forward to her bright future and the opportunities ahead. Her time away from school and work are spent with her family and friends.
